Here in Japan it's about the same. We pay between 2100 and 2500 yen for a refill, regardless of size.

I get two tanks filled for $26 here in southeast Texas. Size doesn't seem to matter.

I was just shocked when I moved from North Texas to NY. It was $12 for a 20#er in Wichita Falls

When I called welding supply shops around me, they all thought I was an idiot for asking them to fill my CO2 tank. I have to go to either an industrial gas supplier, or a shop that supplies CO2 to restaurants.

I've actually never had it filled, but every welding supplies shop I go to has been cool about doing a swap

I just had my #20 filled last week at the welding shop, pumped from their giant refrigerated bulk tank. It was $23.41 out the door with the hazmat fee and tax.

I think I paid ~18 for a 10 lb tank at a fire extinguisher shop. It's lasted me about a year and a half, so I just cant remember. I put the info into George's database when I was shopping around. I guess that got fried when he lost his website?

$13 CAD, or about $10.50 UDS for a 15# tank at a welding supply shop. I can't believe that I actually pay less for something.

I refill at a welding supply shop. 5 lb is about $20 and 20 lb is about $25 for swaps. Clearly the CO2 is not the major cost factor but instead the labor and certifications, etc. I try to use my 20lb tank whenever possible since it is significantly cheaper.

The rate down here in Miami is $3.00 per lb. So I pay $30 to get my 10lb filled. It is significantly pricier than the rest of you. But it doesn't bother me too much.
