Bad news everybody. The Bath Salt epidemic has come to your neighborhood. There are five rampaging lunatics, just waiting to eat your face, and get both of you on the national news. There are two each at 50 yds, and 25 yds, and one at 100yds. They are coming at you at a swift clip, and you need to double-tap each one of those sumnabitches as soon as you can. I would recommend starting with the nearest and going to the furthest, but that is your call. Rules are as such:1. Double tap to each target, you must put both shots on one before moving on to the next target2. You have a maximum of one second between the two shots at each individual target, three seconds when switching between targets at the same yardage, and five seconds when switching between 25, 50, and 100 yards.3. You can use any CENTERFIRE rifle you want, with or without a scope. There will be only one category, since both irons and a scope will have pluses and minuses here.4. You can make as many tries as you want in a day, the only run being if you go over the time limit (go by "one-mississippi if in doubt) you need to re-start your round. Honor system as always.5. We will use the same 100yd target as last month's challenge for ALL yardages. Target can be found here: https://bisonballist...com/downloads/4Any questions, post em up. Good luck all!

I may give it a whirl. It will be some what of a hassle to set up the targets in this fashion where I normally shoot. I'll try my best.

Hey, I purposely did this so ha anyone with a 5 round rifle could shoot it. That said, pick a ox of ammo and you are more than welcome to use mine.

I'm a bit confused. 5 round rifle? If I read your rules correctly, you said to double-tap each target, and there are (2) targets at both 25 & 50 yards while a single target at 100. Isn't that 10 shots?

That's how I understood it and shot it the same. Anyway, it was a really fun shoot. I had to make do where I shoot by placing political/event-type signs near my 100 yard lane (at 25 and 50 yards). I took 4 sighters, 2 at 50 & 2 at 100. 50 seemed good, 100 a bit right. The outer 2 orange stickers on the 100 yd target were my sighters and the other 2 were from my lesser 2nd attempt (I chose to use a store bought NRA-sr-21 for the 100 as it's easier to pick up with my aging eyes. It looks like a 92 with 2X's.Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image

While we're on the subject of rules, I probably should have asked about shooting positions before submitting an entry. I shot from a bench with a front rest (no way I'm shooting that good off-hand). I did rattle off the shots quickly -- I popped off all 10 in about 15 seconds or so.

We will stick with one shot per target, as my original notes was to let people with at least a five round capacity play too. Gusto, you can ate your best shot from each target, or obviously re shoot. As far as position goes, bench with JUST a front rest is fine since we just did an offhand comp.

Garvin and I shot today..... I am not a great shot.... I think I got a 15 or something... Fun though. I think I could do a lot better if I had more practice on the match itself. I shot Garvin's Stag AR... I need to get myself one of those in lefty and get to the range for practice more often.
