It looks like the back of my sanyo 4912 says 0.9A. That seems a little low - is this average, peak, something else?I ask this b/c I have a temp controller rated at 10A.
how many amps does a small fridge pull?

so sounds like that little fridge runs around 100 watts... I guess that sounds about right, doesn't take a lot to keep that small space cooled...

My medium-sided chest freezer pulls 5.0a, and my old-as-heck mini fridge pulls 1.1a. 0.9 sounds pretty accurate.

.9 is average likely. I doubt you have a problem with a 10A controller even with peak and surge.

I don't actually have the small fridge I'll be using in my possession yet so I'm not sure what that one will say on it....9 is average likely. I doubt you have a problem with a 10A controller even with peak and surge.

The surge when the compressor kicks in will definitely be higher than .9, but I doubt if it would overload your controller. I have 15cf chest freezers than can easily run off of my love digital temperature controllers that are rated for 15 amps. I also have air conditioners running full bore at times off of the same controllers.
