I'm brewing a Pilsner on Sunday morning, with yeast from a starter I started Monday Night. I pitched a vial of WLP 802 into a 1.8 L starter Monday night, and it's been on the almost-finished stirplate (bare wood & magnets only work with one inch stir bar, so the vortex is small) since. I was planning on taking it off tonight and putting it in the fridge overnight to settle the yeast and then pitching into a 4L starter tomorrow morning before work. This would give it 3 days in the big starter before I refrigerate and settle the yeast while brewing Sunday (after 2 days in the little starter). Should I do it this way, or should I wait until tomorrow night and have 3 days in the little starter and 2 days in the big one?

I think you have the right idea. You would want the starter to have more time with the big starter than the smaller starter. There is a good chance the the small starter has completely fermented out at this point, and is ready for a larger step.

I'd have gone straight to the 4L starter. But since you're already working on the small one, I think plan A is best to give more time to the larger starter.
