I can't stand all the marketing crap that the big budgets get away with. One brand claims their beer ".....and is never watered down"...I know for a FACT that that particular brand is high gravity brewed and "watered down" on the way to the bright tank....Stuff like this irks me to know end, although I know it will never go away.MolBasser

I am impressed at how many new ways they come up with to sell the same crap. My favorite are the labels that change color to let you know the bottle is cold enough.

And "cold enough" is defined to be within a nostril hair of freezing.

I really love the culture of say nothing brewing ads. Cold Filtered, Triple Hops Brewed, Glass Lined, etc... Someday when I get to market my own beer, it will have the same crap all over it, just to keep it real.

Cold enough by their standards is way too cold.

I cannot believe for the life of me the Miller Lite won a gold at GABF in the light lager category! I guess they have to give it to somebody. But they play it up well don't they?!Not to hijack this thread but I'm sick and damn tired of going to a bar that serves craft beer on draft only to get a pour in a frozen glass. The beer is at 33 deg too! I'm watching hoops yesterday afternoon at a local speakeasy and was constantly having to remind this hot ass (but dumb) bartender that I want my beer in a warm glass. Then I had to sit there why the beer warmed up. Annoying as balls....Can't distributors or breweries teach a class/instruct some of their larger accounts on how to serve their beer correctly?

Yeah, in that commercial they make it look like they won the entire competition.

Unfortunately, I think 90% of people would complain if it wasn't 32 degrees.

Then it's up to us, as the 10%, to complain louder.

For those of you old enough to remember Jean Shepherd (great story teller, he wrote the classic movie "A Christmas Story") has put together some old, classicbeer ads for several American beers. My absolute fav is at 3:15 into the clip. Cabin fever.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jngT-j6UeLg

Nice. At least a lot of beer commercials are funny. I remember the one with Randy Cross, center for the SF 49ers. He's talking about how he played for 10 seasons, won super bowls, etc. and yet nobody knows who he is. About that time a good looking girl next to him drops something and he says let me get that for you. As he's bent over with his ass sticking up in the air, one of the girls says, "Hey, aren't you Randy Cross?"

I can be too then, if I notice people are getting frosted glasses I tell the waiter/bartender to make sure mine isn't. If it is it goes back.
