What book would you guys recommend as a good beginners book? I have gotten great info from the faq but like having a book for this stuff. I have been a homebrewer for a few years so I should have all of the equipment I need. Unless you guys use separate stuff for beer and mead.

Agreed. Not only is that book comprehensive, it's just about the only mead book on the market. It's the How to Brew of the mead world.

I'm assuming mead books. The only one you'll ever really need is The Compleat Meadmaker. That's great to learn for beginners to a reference book for experts.Equipment's all the same, but you might want a few more 5 gallon carboys for bulk storage - 1 year is generally a minimum for mead.

Tell that to my 6% abv hydromels

I am surpised they're aren't more books on the subject. The Compleat Guide is the one I was looking at. Thanks guys!

There are a few more, but they contain terrible information, are horribly written, and are usually made by SCA recreators that don't know anything about brewing or winemaking.

:smilielol:It's funny cuz it's true.
