So what's up with this place? From the outside it seems like a similar situation I and some other folks went through with HBT. By the "We're gettin' the banned back together." slogan I take it you guys had a disagreement with some mods/admins somewhere else?

Thanks Greg. I suppose it's not really important, but since I don't hang out in the PH much, I don't really know the story of what's happening on the GB. I have the time to use the boards for their main purpose, but some of these people in the PH have wwwwaaaaayyyy too much time on their hands.

LOL....I do need to write a mission statement but the history of the last two weeks at the GB isn't going to be part of that. Like I said, our goal here is to create a great forum for brewers and winemakers. It has nothing to do with the GB anymore. What they do over there is their business and it doesn't affect what happens here.In any case, I wrote up my version of events and posted it in the PH. Bon appetit.

My dad used to have a small statue on his desk of some one in the powdered wig pontificating. The plaque on it read "Illegitimis nil carborundum." As I get older, I appreciate that perspective even more.

I would suggest to not even worry about it and just hang out here. Not worth it if you haven't been around for the whole thing. What do they say, ignorance is bliss?
