Now where have I seen something simlar to this before? BTW, I have a template if you need one...A few people have asked me in PMs what happened. While I would like for this site to remain about this site and not the other one, I think folks do deserve an explanation. So at some point today when I get some time, I'll write it all down for you and post it here.

Call it a mission statement.A few people have asked me in PMs what happened. While I would like for this site to remain about this site and not the other one, I think folks do deserve an explanation. So at some point today when I get some time, I'll write it all down for you and post it here.

LOL....I do need to write a mission statement but the history of the last two weeks at the GB isn't going to be part of that. Like I said, our goal here is to create a great forum for brewers and winemakers. It has nothing to do with the GB anymore. What they do over there is their business and it doesn't affect what happens here.In any case, I wrote up my version of events and posted it in the PH. Bon appetit.Call it a mission statement.

My dad used to have a small statue on his desk of some one in the powdered wig pontificating. The plaque on it read "Illegitimis nil carborundum." As I get older, I appreciate that perspective even more.Sometimes you have to smile at these things.

so what's the dirt? at least the short version.I don't really care, I just want a resource for my brewing questions and to be able to kill time because we don't have cable.
Check out my thread in the PH. It's not short though.LOL....I do need to write a mission statement but the history of the last two weeks at the GB isn't going to be part of that. I would suggest to not even worry about it and just hang out here. Not worth it if you haven't been around for the whole thing. What do they say, ignorance is bliss?so what's the dirt? at least the short version.I don't really care, I just want a resource for my brewing questions and to be able to kill time because we don't have cable.
