I looked on US Plastics, and they had some for like $69 plus shipping. They have a 12 gal one for like a buck cheaper. I am thinking that I can find one cheaper than that as they have one at my LHBS for $58, and knowing them, it is marked way up. I am trying to get one of these so I can make some bigger batches of mead to put in my 10 gal barrels. Would be nice for beer primary as well. Anybody got a line I don't know about?

I have a 15 gallon carboy that used to store LME. Ask around your LHBS if they get bulk LME and what they do with the empty carboys. I got mine for free.

Mine rinses them out and sells them for $20

That's because I got you the hookup :D

My LHBS does the same. I just spend enough time there that I occasionally get one for free when the empties start taking up to much space.

i realize you're trying to get something cheaper than the $58 barrel, but this is a few cents less than that...https://www.brews-br...lastic-conical/

I am trying to find something with an open top so I have the ability to add and take out fruit in a cheesecloth. That and my LHBS doesn't have bulk LME.

This!!!! Thank you!

One thing I did not see on my quick scan of the product page was the stand. I could fab my own I guess... I have a lot of extra wood. The other thing is a drain valve. I could always just rack, no biggie...

I get that. I guess I was trying to find where there is a stand for sale or is it the kind of thing I need to fab myself.

Well, it still looks like the LHBS drum is my most cost effective option then....
