I still have quite a bit of hops left over from before the big shortage several years ago. They're pellets from Hops Direct, still in the Mylar bags, and they have been deep in the freezer for the entire time (about 5 years?). Cascade, Cent's, and Amarillo.Other than loss of A.A's, what's the consensus? It's nearly a pound of each.

+1. Apparently the recent Amarillo crop is not earning plaudits, some would count you lucky.

That's kind of a sweeping generalization. I bought some of the current Amarillo crop and they're fantastic.

I would break up a few pellets and smell them. Of course green would be nice too. That's longer than I have gone, but have gone a couple years before. Kept at 0df and in the original mylar they could be OK. Frost free freezer? Mine's not so I knew they didn't get warmed up during the defrost cycle.
