Here's a blurb about the New Glarus brewery expansion that has just been completed. They increased production by 100,000 bbls/yr. We can only hope that someday soon we will no longer have to drive all the way to 'Sconsin to get the nectar that is Belgian Red. [Note: There is no mention of inter-state distribution; this is just wishful thinking on my part.]Linkage

love the New Glarus. Any time anyone in the guild heads to Wisconsin, there's a "who wants what" thread on our board. Last time it was Greenblood who graciously brought back hundreds of dollars of brew for our club (not just NG of course). I've got a 4pk of the Iced Barley Wine I'm going to let set for quite a few months before I try it.Nice to see that they are expanding, not sure if getting it locally would enhance my love for it or not. The inability to get it locally seems to increase my love of the Fat Squirrel and Spotted Cow, and of course the Belgian Red. I just traded two bottles of Belgian Red for some art from a local student.
