I am getting ready to order some tubing for my kegging. What size tubing do I want for the liquid and gas sides? I can never remember. I know one has a lot thicker of a wall than the other or something.

Gas tubing size doesn't really matter as long as it fits on your connections. Most homebrewers use 3/16 in for their liquid lines. I find if you go bigger than that you need a longer length of tubing to give the required resistance to cut down on foaming.

Liquid is the important one. Most use 3/16".Is there an echo in here?

I prefer to use 1/4" Gas so all the swivel barb nuts for both beverage and gas are interchangeable w/o having to have two different sizes.

+1. 3/16" hose is a little tough to get on the 1/4" barbs, but not too bad. I can't imagine a 3/16" and a 5/16" hose would fit on the same barb. Maybe if you really crank the clamp down, but I;d be worried about leaks if the hose didn't fit snugly over the barb.I prefer to use 1/4" Gas so all the swivel barb nuts for both beverage and gas are interchangeable w/o having to have two different sizes.
