Got a pale brewed with sorachi ace from a friend of the brewery. Been drawing pints from it all night. The lemon note is strong. Very citrusy hops. I have had problems with SA beers being catty, but this one is very clean. Super drinkable. I will try to find more out about the grain bill and such, but I highly recommend this hop. MolBasser

Funny you say that Keller. I poured some for a buddy and he said it tasted like lemonade but not sweet.

I've never used it due to CJ's expressed hate for this hop on the greenboard

It does taste heavily of lemon, but it is not a bad hop per se. You just have to know what to expect out of it and have a use which calls for it.

A guy in my homebrew club shared a beer he brewed back in spring with Sorachi Ace. I had never tasted a beer with that hop before, I believe it was an APA too. Interesting flavor and lemon was surely standing out to me as well. I actually have about 2oz of this hop this same guy came over and used my vacuum sealer since he bought a lb from HopsDirect and gave me a few ounces to try out. I think it could work well in say a nice American Wheat or perhaps German Hefeweizen. I better look into trying this hop and see.
