what is a liquid out lock? I just use picnic taps for the kegs in my cold storage fridge.Absolutely. Only problem I have is that I don't have a serving fridge at the house. I have 2 fridges in the garage for chilling and to keep kegs cold, but its problematic to serve from them, as evident by my latest problem. I put a cheap tap on a liquid out lock and the damn thing leaked all over the fridge. I lost about 2 gallons of beer before I caught it. Freakin sucks because this was a test batch of my own recipe and it was already only 3 gallons to start. Cheers,Rich

Its a tap directly coupled to a ball lock liquid disconnect with a MFL thread. I will probably go back to using picnic taps in the fridge. Cheers,Richwhat is a liquid out lock? I just use picnic taps for the kegs in my cold storage fridge.

I have one of those, but I only use it on my travel rig. If you don't have perlicks, you have to make sure that you clean the faucet regularly so no gunk builds up and causes the faucet to not seat all the way. That being said, it feels wrong to not have several styles on tap at home. I recently had my first dry spell in the house after several weddings which took time from brewing as well as beer from my stores. I took the opportunity to install the 7th tap on the tower and fix the condensation line in the bar.Its a tap directly coupled to a ball lock liquid disconnect with a MFL thread. I will probably go back to using picnic taps in the fridge. Cheers,Rich

no, you don't NEED to pull a full pint, but you do tend to pull 2-3Having this kegerator with 4 taps and another freezer next to it to hold an additional 7 kegs I think having my own beer on tap is serving me well. I love commercial beer as much as the next brewer but it has been since I was at the beach at my in laws that I bought my last sixer or any commercial beer at that Terrapin Hopsecutioner that weekend. YES having it on tap is great, Its really awesome because you don't have to pour a full pint like you would with a bottle
