Ok, so a couple weeks ago, my new boss tells me that there is a Groupon for Midwest Supplies for Vegas. It's 2 buckets, capper, video, extract kit and a $25 credit for a future purchase all for $65. I missed it, but figured it would pop up again. I'm cruising around today and find it in Abilene, TX. You don't have to live there, you just have to be looking for a Groupon there... so I figured I could always use a couple extra buckets and that, since I'm not doing AG for the next year, a couple of extract kits would be welcome. Anyways... Here is the link if you want for some cheap replacement equipment for all you bucketheads. Midwest Supplies Groupon

is this as good as it seems? I know someone looking at getting into homebrewing and this would be a good place to start.

For a beginner it's a decent starter kit. Fact they get two kits out of it makes it well worth it. Don't forget your friend will need a big pot for the extract kit. I pulled the trigger on it because I needed a couple of new buckets (which would cost me 30 bucks anyway) and I'll get a couple of batches of beer out of it. I haven't done an extract batch in a long time, so it'll be a fun time messing with that. Deerslyr thanks for posting this!is this as good as it seems? It looks like Midwest changes the locations where they offer it every now and then. If one were inclined to occassionally search, they will find the Groupon. I've ordered from Midwest before. They are reputable and am sure that this is as good as it seems.
