Dogfish Head Palo Santo Marron 12%ABV <-- Retardedly awesome! Not too woody. Perfect balance for that beer.Dogfish Head Midas Touch 9%ABV <-- Good, not great....been a while since I've had it and can't remember exactly why I didn't love it though. May need to try againStone Vertical Epic 080808 8.6%ABV <-- I liked it.....think I liked Wofat's clone better though.Dogfish Head Red & White <-- Damn good. Bottles I have had were a bit cloying though if I remember correctly

Thanks for the review guys... I can't wait to try them. My buddy wanted to make sure he didn't screw up--- I'll tell him his picks were good! I can't get anything over 6% here so anytime someone goes out of state I try to get them to bring me back a little something.Lol @DrunkenPanther's retardedly awesome :sarcasm: And Brian...she's stupefying isn't she? :banghead:

Bitter where are you from? Reason I ask if your friend was heading north up I-75 through Lexington or going by Louisville you should have him stop at the Liquour Barn. Way more selection than anything you can find here in TN.

Dunno about the Stone, but Palo Santo and the Midas Touch are two very fine beers. I have a bottle of red and white in the fridge and am waiting for a good occasion to drink it.

Tuscaloosa Alabama...I didn't want to make him go to too much trouble to find me beer...I thought about PMing you for suggestions but remembered you were in Chatt. not Knox. I actually googled beer stores in the Knoxville area but they all seemed a little out of his way--- turned out he found some stores near the Crown Plaza where he was staying.

I've had the Midas Touch and the Red & White. I liked Midas Touch's flavor, but I found it too sweet for my tastes. I'd love it if it had some hops in it, but that would destroy the historical accuracy that they were going for. It seems like a beer that would be best when paired with a sweet dessert.Red & White was interesting. I found it cloying as well, but not so much as the Midas Touch.
