I've been doing a lot of Mels this year and transfering off the fruit is a PIA that involves a lot of loss.I'm thinking of using 1/2" hose to siphon into a paint strainer bag. I'd add sulfites at transfer to help prevent o2 issues. I figure it will be easier to catch the fruit bits on the out side then prevent them on the in side while racking. I ferment in wide mouth 12.5 gallon SS milk cans, so the bag will be easy to remove. Thoughts? Is there a better way to do this?

Peaches, plums, Italian prunes (i.e. 'shits & giggles'), and raspberry

My peaches were run through the blender, so I'm anticipating racking to be a PITA
