Has anyone added gelatin to a keg and filled on top of it? I have done this with bio-fine clear and it mixes with the beer as it fills but I have not tried this yet with gelatin.

For the record, I add gel to the secondary and rack the beer on top to make sure it's well mixed. This drags a lot of the schputz down and gets the beer clear quickly... but I leave my secondaries at 'cellar temps' for awhile after racking. Eventually I send the beer to a keg and get it cold overnight and my assumption is that some amount of chill haze forms in the keg when it gets cold. At that point, while the beer is still flat, I hit it with gel again and then I begin to force carb. The first pull is very sedimented but eventually you end up with some very clear beer. Cheers.

I used gelatin at 50 degrees to a freshly transferred keg and chilled and pressurized ,still worked fine. The last year or so im using gelatin finings, boil 1 tsp+ water, cool and pour into bottom of keg, rack beer on top.Im happy with the results for a fraction of the cost of the liquid gelatin.
