Great place, excellent beer and good food. Also the brewers will answer any brewing question you ask.

I meant to go here while still living in Cambridge. The couple times I tried I didn't have time to wait around to get a table. Just bad luck I guess...

Next time I go up to watch my son race on the Charles, I'll check it out.

Some of their specialty beers are awesome. The kriek, barleywine, and some others were truely world class. The food is average at best, though (pizza, sandwiches, salads weren't good, but the gazpacho we had once was). The waiters are usually pretty good/nice. They also sell the beer in this crazy 3 foot tall contraption that seems to encourage people to become obnoixious; this can be entertaining or annoying. Overall, it's worth a trip, but get dinner elsewhere.

It's a 100 ounce tower, but you need at least 3 people to order one. I haven't found people getting obnoxious to be a common occurance to be an issue at all at CBC.

Agreed. I can only remember one table out of a half dozen visits in which anybody was out of control. There was a table of ~8 30-50 year old men; 4 americans and 4 japanese people who seemed to be visiting. They all acted like teenagers; maybe even worse than college kids! The fact that we've been there 6 times recently in spite of the fact that we live 100 miles away and feel the food and atmosphere are mediocre should tell you something about their beer!

Damn that's a long ride though, glad I only live 3.5 miles away.
