This. If you just want to sterilize it I'd stick a toothpick down the side of the stopper to keep it from sealing completely, then when it's done pull the toothpick and push the stopper down to seal, if you determine it can take the heat.Yeah, but it might suck the stopper into the flask when it cools.Also depends on whether the rubber can handle the heat.

Thanks, yeah, those are a bit large for 50 mL flasks though.https://pivo.norther...rm=foam stopperThese stoppers allow air into them after you pressure cook the flasks so they won't get sucked into the flask. Also rated for autoclave temperatures.

I might be able to find something similar for the smaller flasks.
