Hi all, this is my first post to your board. I made a "yeast Proofer" for about 30 bucks and thought I might show it off!Yeast Prooferhttps://www.brainlub...ne.com/Proofer/

Very cool but it seems like a lot of work just to make a starter

So, it's like a fancy stirplate? Looks cool, I'll give you that.

in my experience, a proofer provided some sort of heat, pizza dough making. Does your proofer provide heat, or is it just a covered stir plate? My understanding is that heat would not be needed, only room temp would be fine.

I have a Peltier junction I was thinking about putting on the bottom, but it works great at room temperature and my beer ferments very well. It would also be a real pain to write temperature controlling code. But yes, it's my super cheap version of a stir-plate!!
