I never really used it much, for software packages I used BeerSmith & slightly ProMash before I created my spreadsheet (linked in my sig).

damn chuck just checked out your spreadsheet...i may just have to download that when I get home and start figuring it out.

Yeah, chucks spreadsheet is a work of art. It made my brain hurt a little poking around to see how he did everything. lol

qbrew is fine it is pretty much just a recipe calculator, no mash calculator, no water calc, etc.IMO the best free one is strangebrew has all the features of promash, beertools, etc but open source

I can help with this if you want. I wrote mine for NeoOffice (os x)/OO3. Plus it'll help me to get mine tuned up. I have a ton of work to do on mine.

No doubt. I have another guy who is going to help assisting with the OO migration too. I'll sync with both you guys later this month I think.

Open Office 3 is new and free. https://www.openoffice.org

damn, i got office 2004 on my home comp...

Sorry, yeah, my spreadsheet won't work in older versions of Office because I use too many named ranges as well as my formulas are too deep. Mac Office 2008 doesn't support VBA, so it doesn't work there either. Hence the decision to port it to OO, allowing more people to use.
