I bought some of those new stainless 1/2" QDs for my kettles and mash tun from Morebeer on one of their deal of the day specials. I absolutely love them! When I called last week to ask them about replacement o-rings for the QDS they said they do not stock them yet. Does anyone have these qds and know of a source for o-rings?

That is the main reason I use Tri-clover fitting instead on quick connects, quick connects can fail. Dominus VobiscumSwagman :)

I can attest as to the outstanding quality of Swag's tri-clover fittings. Stellar welding on these fittings - buy from him with confidence. I do have some recommendations for making them easy to use, however:1) Make sure all the triclover fittings are horizontal, not vertical. It's easier to line them up and hold them in place in a horizontal orientation.2) If you're using a pump, make sure you put a tee on your mash tun with a separate valve and elbow and barbed fitting to make the vorlauf procedure easier. That way you're not running grain husks through your pump.

Have you had those O-rings fail?

I have had them come out of the fittings once and get folded over once. all in all they work well and the fittings are excellent. Just like to have redundancy and backups for all aspects of the brewery.
