I'm excited about this one too. I was a few points high on my OG (80% efficiency where I normally get 70-75%) but no worries. I love Hop Sun from Southern Tier so if I can nail this one, I'll be pretty pumped. It's a great backyard summer beer!My only question about the recipe was if there is only one hop addition to do they sprinkle their IBU's throughout the boil. I went all in at 60 mins to get me to 34-35 IBU's but if anyone has any other insight they can provide, that would be great. That looks nice. May try this with a smack pack of Wyeast 1010 I have.

After you posted this I looked up some other "clone" recipes and I seen they had 60,30 and 5 minute additions to get to the desired IBU. I am thinking of doing a 60 and a 30 minute and see how that comes out. Are you planning on any dry hops?I'm excited about this one too. Seeing ST only uses one hop variety on it I would go with some centennials. Maybe just .5oz?I don't know yet. I think I'll sample it once primary fermentation is done and decide then. I'm leaning towards no dry hops since I don't pick up a lot of aroma in the commerical version. If I do end up tossing some dry hops in, any suggestions on what to use? American hops or should I go Noble?

That's right, I do remember that from my research into this beer. I'll taste it out of the primary and make a decision then. But you're right, Cents are the way to go.Cheers to summer beers!Seeing ST only uses one hop variety on it I would go with some centennials. Maybe just .5oz?
