If anyone in NJ/lower NY area is doing a group buy from NCM let me know cause I'm in. My brothers store has a forklift to offload the truck, so if we get enough people in we could save big on the shipping.

I'd definitely be up for a group buy too. I'm not sure how many of us there are around here though. I did a group buy through HBT last year.

I could be convinced to get some of sacks of grain. I'd have to borrow my friends car to come pick them up from wherever we decide to have them shipped.

Sorry for the delay, I've been working nights and it gets me all out of wack. If we can get enough people together and a bag count I will call NCM for a shipping rate. I think it was somewhere around 80 or 90 to ship on a pallet but not sure. The only problem is I'm leaving Friday for vacation and won't be back till April 15, but that will give more people a chance to get in on the order.

I'd be in for a sack or two of grain. I'm a little over an hour from the Jersey border on the NYS Thruway.

Back from vacation and glad to be home. My brothers place is on Rt 17 in Upper Saddle River, NJ. He is open 6 days(closed sunday) so you can p/u the grain almost anytime. I'm in for a bag or 2 and would also be up for splitting a bag of Munich or Vienna with 1 or 2 people.

Its that time again, after taking most of the summer off from brewing I'm getting ready to fire up the propane burner and start brewing again. I'm looking to do a group buy and wanted to see if anyone was interested. I tried this a few months ago and didn't get a great response. Ok so here we go. I live in central jersey, Somerset county to be exact. My brother has a store with a fork lift in Upper Saddle River, Bergen Cty, NJ. He also just opened a store in Middletown, Orange cty, NY(but I have to check with him to see if he has a loading dock or fork lift at the new store). So as you can see we have 3 places to ship/pick up the grain. I check the NC site and shipping to NY is $80 plus $16 fuel surcharge($96). Shipping to NJ is $105 plus 21 fuel($126). If he has a way to get it off the truck in NY and we can get an order of 20 bags(or more) then shipping will be $4.80 a bag, or less if we order more than 20.I'll check with him to see what he has at the NY store. Let me know who is interested, I'm in for 3 bags and willing to split up some grain too. Let me know and if we get enough people we can place an order.

I'm trying to find out if anyone is interested in a bulk buy from North Country. I've also asked at the Home Brew Talk forum. Delivery most likely to be made in Rockland County (Pearl River). I'll find out if I could use that location tonight, so far the alternative is South Hackensack, NJ

Frog - what's the status on using your brothers' store? Either location would work for me. Would he be able to store until the buyers can pick it up?

I'll call him tonight. I asked him back in July and he said its not a problem. I'll call him and confirm one store or both.

Cool. Could you also ask if the grain needs to be picked up on day of delivery, or if it can be stored there for a few days or whatever until it could be picked up by the buyer?
