Well after a full year of pestering the government here in NB Canada myself and 2 others from our craft brew club have a meeting set with the Executive Director of Public Safety for the province of New Brunswick to see about getting the law changed here to allow us to be able to transport our home brew outside of our house which means we will be able to enter competitions and hold meetings/tastings without breaking the law. The law basically states that any fermented beverage made in your home can not leave your home or if made at a Ubrew it must be transported directly to your home and once there it can not leave. Wish me luck !!!

I never thought to ask for their help to be honest...

They call themselves The American Homebrewers Association, and Canada is a part of America as much as the U.S. and Mexico (and Brazil and Chile and Venezuela) are, so they might help.

Heh heh, I probably know more about American history than I do about Canadian history.I bet I can name more Presidents than Prime Ministers.

Free the beer brother! Not that I am by any means any sort of expert on the craft beer scene in Canada, but I have definitely noticed that it is much more subdued that it is in the US. I wish you the best of luck! Start a beer revolution in the Great North! I do know the president of the Canadian Amateur Brewers Association personally. He may be able to help you along your way. PM me if you want his info.

There are some parts of Canada with a decent craft beer culture, like the area around Montreal.

Oh for sure. Toronto has some great beer as well. But in general, Canadians are not blessed with the diversity that we are. A great example. I have a friend who has a couple of really nice beer bars in Buffalo. These places are always jammed with Canadians extolling the virtues of our beer market.

Some great beers from Piccaroons ( sp ) I have tasted as well as some great beer fromQuebec, but I doubt if we can get any kind of American Pale Ale here. Yippee IPA comesvery close to it though. Just not in-your-face hops like say SNPA.I know I live in a beer wasteland, so I must be forgiven if I have missed any great Canadian brews.I have to brew my own.
