I love the Boulevard Brewery's Bourbon Barrel Quad and would like to make something close to it.I have thought maybe start with a "Liquid Stupid" base with less spices and a little different sugars/honey and a touch of Crystal:Bourbon Barrel QuadA ProMash Recipe ReportRecipe Specifics----------------Batch Size (Gal): 5.00 Wort Size (Gal): 5.00Total Grain (Lbs): 24.50Anticipated OG: 1.132 Plato: 30.64Anticipated SRM: 13.2Anticipated IBU: 48.1Brewhouse Efficiency: 65 %Wort Boil Time: 60 MinutesFormulas Used-------------Brewhouse Efficiency and Predicted Gravity based on Method #1, Potential Used.Final Gravity Calculation Based on Points.Hard Value of Sucrose applied. If you can get your hands on it try the Belgian Dark Syrup.

Have been thinking about doing an LSD or liquid stupid dark along the lines of a quad or belgian dark strong. Still working on the details with Dadscool. will post when we get it perfected.Jeff

Here is what I came up with. For the Amber Cabdi Sugar, I made my own from corn Syrup.I split this batch between two carboys. About 3 gallons with 3787 Trappist yeast and 3 gallons with Safale S05 and S33.I also added 1 can of Cherries to the primary for each. We'll see how it turns out.Bourbon Barrel QuadA ProMash Recipe ReportRecipe Specifics----------------Batch Size (Gal): 7.00 Wort Size (Gal): 7.00Total Grain (Lbs): 27.50Anticipated OG: 1.106 Plato: 25.08Anticipated SRM: 28.0Anticipated IBU: 26.4Brewhouse Efficiency: 68 %Wort Boil Time: 90 MinutesFormulas Used-------------Brewhouse Efficiency and Predicted Gravity based on Method #1, Potential Used.Final Gravity Calculation Based on Points.Hard Value of Sucrose applied.
