Beer has only been kegged for 4-5 days so the carbonation is still evening out the hops in the keg are still working their magic but this is a very nice beer. I think it will probably taste even better after I get through the cloudy stuff at the bottom of the keg. It's noticeably less cloudy today compared to last night so I think I'll be into the good stuff soon.

Did you make 5G or 10G?if you made 10G you can drink now, while the other one gets Gooder...! :) then compare notes later on, to see what you think is a majic number for best results.I tend to find that 4-5 weeks is a good average.but man it's not easy waiting for it.

it's funny - after drinking the rye ipa i'm now drinking my india brown ale which also utilizes columbus and is fairly malty I can really tell the diff in the yeast. (denny's fav 50 versus london ale III)

2 week dry hop started on 11/21

See, the vegetal harshness from my last dry hop must have just been a shitty choice of hops, because I only let those hops party in there for 1 week.Glad it's tasty! :) I need to try that recipe sometime real soon.

This truly is a great beer. I have brewed this each of the past two summers. This was the first year I didn't get around to doing it, getting the brewery started has taken precedence. Its a great beer though brew it if you can you won't be disappointed. Denny has created a winner for sure!!Mike

Just got around to having another sample and without a doubt this is the best IPA I've made. Everything is exactly where I'd like it to be. I wish it was a little more clear but I guess maybe it will take a little longer to clear up b/c of the rye. Fantastic recipe! I'll def be getting this into the rotation a couple of times a year!
