I was going to make a Dubbel, but there is a Mud Volleyball Tournament that I told my team I would make beer for at the end of July that I need to do. So I need to come up with some lawnmower type beer for playing Mud Volleyball in 95 degree weather.

I'm bottling my first IPA this weekend.Even cooler than that...a buddy of mine is going to buy his brew kit this weekend and I'll be helping him with his first batch. He tried one of my home brews and decided that he wants to give it a go!My first recruitment in the the world of home brewing. Sweet!

I realized that it's been too long since I had something really, really hoppy on tap. So, I'll be brewing an American IPA with 68 IBUs worth of Zeus, Simcoe, Amarillo, Centennial, and Cascade, heavy on the late additions and dry hopping...... if my hop order from Freshops arrives in time.

I'm brewing something but I don't know what yet. I have lots of light beers (10G blonde, 5G kolsch and dortmunder) a porter and 15G pale ale, a red ale... I am kind of uninspired as to what to make. I've got all my favorite styles brewed, but I feel that itch that needs to be stratched.

Probably won't be brewing this weekend, family in town and busy around the house. If I do brew it will be Sat or Sun night and I will brew a Dunkeweizen. I am trying to get my FG on last weekends Hefe down a bit more. Otherwise plenty of drinking. Hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable holiday weekend!!
