This is the second time that this has happened to me now. I brewed Ken's MLPA yesterday and went to aerate using the aquarium pump, inline sanitary filter and aeration stone. I sanitized them well, and liquid did come in through the stone during sanitizing, but once it was all hooked up no bubbling was coming from the stone... same as last time. I resorted to just shaking the hell out of the carboys which sucks.I boiled the stone, hooked it all back up to try it and nothing again. Blew through the hose, still no bubbles. I store the stone with the rest of my equipment, but I'm starting to think I'm going to store it in starsan and hope the acid keeps the pores clear.Thoughts? Ever had a stone clog on you?

I've been storing mine in starsan when not in use. Never had it clog on me yet.

I haven't ever had one clog up on me, but I did have an 'experience' during my last brew with my stone;Got it all cleaned and sanitized/dried. Hooked it all up...got the wort cooled down in the mid 70s...sweet. Ready to put some oxygen in there...went to lower the stone (with tube attached) into the carboy........stone came undone from the tube and fell to the bottom of the carboy. Not a big deal since it was clean and sanitized...I'll just have to dig it out of the trub when I transfer the beer, but I had to end up doing the 'shake the crap out of it to get oxygen in there' thing that I'm not all that fond of.The whole experience taught me that I really need to buy backups for every piece of brewing equipment.
