I just recently started homebrewing after a long break and came across these forums. First 10 gallon batch will be ready to keg in a few days. Just thought I'd say Hi and post a picture of a new keg cleaner I'm considering using. Faced with the task of cleaning 16 cornies got me thinking. Previously, I would completely disassembe the corny it, clean it, reassemble it, seal it and set it aside until I needed it. Since they have been sitting so long I will still do that to all of them this time but I also decided to try the keg cleaner below. It's a pond pump with cleaner (PBW) going into the dip tube and gas "in", out the top, down the sides and back into the sink. I let it run for twenty minutes per keg. I was amazed at how clean the keg and parts looked after I had used it. In the future I'm considering just taking a spent keg, rinsing it out, wait until I get 4-6 and then hook them to the cleaner, rinse them, seal them and set them aside. The only thing I didn't like about it was that it took 9 gallons of water (5 for the keg and 4 in the sink) and that's a lot of PBW. However, I did 4 kegs and probably could have done more before I dumped the solution.Posted Image

Turn the keg upside down and you won't need so much PBW.

I doubt that pump can blast stuff up like the sump pump setups people have posted can. Just guessing though.Nice job though Crockett! Hang around....... How long was the break? I think I still have the record.

Pond pump doesn't have the umph to flip the kegs. But I'm just crying. As long as I do 4-6 kegs at a time it's not a big deal (PBW) wise. The break was about two years. Thanks for the welcomes.
