Thought so (on the wording... not your friend). My first thoughts were the lyrics from "Big Bottom".But back on topic. If you haven't already looked, here's what the SN site says:alcohol content 7.2% by volume yeast Ale Yeast (I think we can assume Wy1056 or WL001)beginning gravity 17.8 Plato (approx 1.073)ending gravity 4.6 Plato (approx 1.018)bittering hops Magnumfinishing hops Magnum & Crystalbitterness units 70 dry hopping Magnum, Crystal & Citramalts Two-row Pale, Carapils & Crystal Shouldn't be too difficult to get close. I'd say mash on the high end otherwise you'll finish below 1.018 with any of the Chico strains. I have no idea about "Citra" hops. Perhaps Cascade would be a good sub... can never go wrong dry hopping with Cascade IMO. On the malts I'd go 90% 2-row, 6% carapils, and 4% crystal 40L.

youll never get an exact clone unless you mimic the torpedo dry hopping method.which I found out is like a dry hopping with a hop back. so you run all your beer (im assuming in a closed system transfer) thru this hop back a few times to achieve a similar effect. just my 2 cents.

the "citra"hop is exclusive to SN brewery according to the documentation on the case of torpedo.

That recipe approximation looks good. SN site gives good info about their beers as well. I heard the Citra hop was a new cultivar. I wonder if it will come available to us homebrewers sometime too.

IIRC the documentation at the LHBS on the torpedo display said it was SN property for 5 years.

Sounds like a patent sorta thing to me. I am not surprised then they can claim how it taste and know that noone else can replicate it as well.
