I was thinking of harvesting yeast from my witbier and using it in something else, maybe a saison. Has anyone used it for a saison or other beer?

I have used this for a Saison - also pitched the slurry from a wit. The saison turned out great, but needed a while to bottle condition as it was a little too sweet when I bottled it. Once it dried out it was frickin awesome though.

I used WLP400 in my last batch of apple ale. Turned out fantastic. This yeast throws a bit of apple or pear ester so I thought it would be a good match for my apple ale, and I was right. Also a nice bit of Belgiany goodness and just the slightest hint of peppery spice. Very nice match. You could use this yeast for all different kinds of styles, not just your standard Belgians. Try it with a blonde or amber ale, I bet that would be nice. Think outside the box -- yeah baby! :)

Good to hear these things, I will definitely do a Saison with it then, and keep an open mind for using some in other beers.
