Yes 5 gallons...it's been a long day. Left the house at 6am and I'm just walking in the door at 8:45pm5#? I assume you mean 60 pounds = 5 gallons?

Nice, so this should work well in the Ginger peach mead that I haven't started yet (fruit is prepped and frozen just haven't thrown it together).Berry honey tends to be really spicey and can almost sometimes have a bit of a gingery hotness on the tongue. Before I got my own bees, my honey supplier serviced all of the berry farms in the area. I used it for everything.

I have Rabbit's Foot Meadery local to me. The last mead they poured was tasty. I asked the mead maker what kind of honey it was and he said it was "Wildflower Honey from western Washington."Maybe it is suitable for a straight mead?I just found out that a friend picked me up 5 gallons of western Washington wildflower honey since he came across a good deal and figured I'd use it ($22/gallon). I was already sitting on around a gallon and a half, so I find myself with more honey then I know what to do with. Mead shall be made, but what is the question.
