To start you need either Perlick or Ventmatic forward seals for this particular wayItems needed forward sealing faucet and a cornie diptube.Posted ImageNext remove nozzle from faucet and slide over diptube:Posted ImageThen screw the nozzle back onto the faucet:Posted ImageFinally fill those bottles/growlers. I've posted this before at another place, just thought I'd add it here. This is best for beer that will be consumed relatively quickly, and of course there is many other ways to fill but this one is simple and works well. ;)

The biggest trick of the beer gun is the one-hand purge. That and the simple math of a long small-ID tube. If you can purge your bottles one way or another, it's not a big deal to let excess foaming go where it will while you fill from the bottom (like this or with a racking cane on a cobra tap, whatever) on super-low pressure into cold and clean bottles. Beer Gun's genius is not the idea, but the package: one-handed purge and bottom fill with major pressure diffusion.

I wasn't dissing the beergun as it is a great product, just pointing out there is other alternatives. It would be easy to purge bottles with CO2 in conjunction with this, but my point of this is more short term as in bottle and drink the same day at a party whatnot. Feel free all to post your own methods as this could be beneficial to others. ;)

Great post cavman! I have a couple of kegs that don't hold pressure and this thread has me thinking that I need to repurpose the diptube for filling up guest containers.

Or you could bend that tube upward and have a beer drinking fountain!
