Ive been running dilution ratios of various recipes and Meads seem to fall near 3:1 water to honey, hydromels and some Braggots 6:1, but i have also got a curious recipe for 20 Imperial gallons of Ale wort with 8 to 10 pounds of honey which makes for close to 19:1 dilution of the honey. Is there a historical basis for 19:1 dillution rates or is the higher strength honey to wort dillution ratios an American adaption?
