So how often should you have a lab report? I had one done about 2 1/2 yrs ago.

I"m pretty sure there's seasonal variance in a lot of places, so I'd try to test at different times of the year. I'm not sure of your specific situation though. Do you know if you get your water from the same source all year?So how often should you have a lab report? I had one done about 2 1/2 yrs ago.

Same source year around. It is city water. I wouldn't think it would change that much year to year but compounded little changes might make a difference. I had the report (whites) done in late spring 2008.

I had mine done in April of '08. Basing my additions on those numbers is still making me good beer, so I'm fine with it.

Call your water dept. I'm sure they do it throughout the year. They'll probably give you a copy.Same source year around. It is city water. As long as something doesn't change drastically, I would say that once is enough. The water supplier very seldomly changes the source of the water (even if they drill more wells, it is usually the same aquifer), so as long as they dont change the disinfection system, like chlorine to chloramine, the parameters should remain relatively constant. The seasonal change are a good point, so you might ask if they have representative numbers per season.
