Corny Keg - Liquid out socket size

Anyone know what size socket I need for the liquid out on corny kegs?

there are 2 possible sizes - need to check on that...ETA1: 11/16" and 7/8"ETA2: make sure it's a deep socket if you buy a socket

Not sure if its the same on pin lock or ball lock, but my ball locks are 7/8.Cheers,Rich

deep tight sockets are always the way to go. you want to make sure it will hold the full nut, and that it will hold it firmly.

ah right - I should have said I have ball locks. also - buy the 12pt one b/c it will work on the 12pt or the 6pt posts.

I have ball lock kegs and mine must be 7/8 because they aren't 11/16.

I lucked up and found a Craftsman ratcheting box end wrench at a pawn shop one day. It was 7/8 on one side and 11/16 on the other with 16-point insides. I think I payed a buck or two for it, and now it is my "keg wrench".When I had a couple of pin locks, I made my own tool for getting those off. After doing that, I would just recommend just buying the tool. :)
