Ok,,,,, thank you. I appreciate the help. DarinI think it's a good question. I wish I would have asked the same question about bleach a number of years ago, and I could have saved a few kegs.I've soaked some kegs with PBW for weeks at a time with no ill effects. I don't think PBW attacks stainless steel in the same way bleach does.

In my case: busy schedule, laziness, procrastination, forgetfulness....take your pickBut, yes, good point. It is not necessary to leave it so long in order to adequately clean. A few hours is usually the most it takes, especially if you use very warm water.But why leave it for several days, anyway?
