Some people find it easier to read if the spacing is preserved.I simply open the recipe in Promash, click the print icon, tick off the boxes I want and then select "copy to clipboard" and paste it right into my post. Is there something I am missing here?

I'm guessing he's thinking maybe because it is a monospaced font, i.e. each character takes up the same amount of space, so things stay aligned??How does courier preserve spaces?

Things won't stay aligned unless there are the right number of spaces between columns and no font will fix that.I'm guessing he's thinking maybe because it is a monospaced font, i.e. each character takes up the same amount of space, so things stay aligned??

But you said above if the spacing is preserved... isn't that what the monospace font does, because even the size of a "space" in the font is the same as the size of any other character?Things won't stay aligned unless there are the right number of spaces between columns and no font will fix that.

That's true but it doesn't help prevent the number of spaces from changing. The following should contain three rows of three columns each, all right justified. As you can see Courier is no help here. But you said above if the spacing is preserved... isn't that what the monospace font does, because even the size of a "space" in the font is the same as the size of any other character?
