If you would be interested go here and let them know, they have a working app that needs more work but they don't see a lot of interest.https://www.beertools.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6188

Does Strangebrew run in wine now, I had problems before. Never heard of Brewtarget. I don't have a problem paying $30 for an app that someone put many hours into

I'd be interested if they've fixed the problems that were in the Windows version.

Tried Beersmith several times over the years and it never quite worked well enough, seems good now. The author must have taken time to make it work with wine. Will give BTP a little more time for a linux version but may make the jump to Beersmith.

With Beersmith you also need IE for print preview. BTP will import my Promash files, hope to talk them into a trial version, at this time only those who have purchased the mac or win versions can get it.

+1 Gagillion. The software is extensive and complete but crashes like none other. The damn thing tanks on me more often than not after each step I add to the schedule. I've gotten in the habit of saving each time i make an addition to the schedule and after about 3 crashes I will have finished what i started..

It wasn't even the instability that I was referring to. There are some features missing (or were, for it's been a long time since I tried it) that I felt were fundamental.

There has been constant development on the win/mac versions and I believe they have made a lot of progress on both stability and features, but I don't have a mac or win machine so no first hand info. I told them early on, when they said they were having problems with the linux port, to concentrate on getting the app right first then work on linux, and they are now doing that.
