A lot of the beer doesn't make it to the bottles. :devil:BTW, I'm loving the 'piece of tubing in the picnic tap' method of bottling. WAY faster than the CPBF. I'm definitely retiring the CPBF. I felt like I was speed bottling with my picnic tap contraption.

Yep on all counts. In addition to glass, I also use plastic PET bottles with homemade carb caps, really great for events, camping especially. I use a semi-rigid tube that fits into the cobra tap, then apply some CO2 to the foam. These:Posted Image

I was thinking of making some of these for a Tap-a Draft. What fitting do you use to connect to the presta valves? Did you just cut a fitting off a bicycle pump?

My favorite thing about bottling..... I invariably misplace a bottle somewhere and find it 5 years later.

I'm too organized - maybe I need someone to come hide a 12 pack for me in my house.

How long does the carbination hold up with the plastic tube method? I typically sent beer with my son when he goes back to college but, this fall will be the first time I will send bottled keg beer.Beach

Indefinitely. It doesn't loose carbonation once it's capped.
