Any insight on a good cheap digital scale? I know some people have bought some off e-bay but I don't know how to separate the crap from the decent stuff.note: this is for salt and spice additions

I guess I'm surprised that the one I got was no longer on eBay. I can't really say how much it's worth, but it was $8 with free shipping and the batteries were included and it's been working very nicely for me.

Nice. Yeah, it's a nice little scale. Weighs in grams, ounces and dwt and seems to be very consistent & reliable. I can take an ounce of 14.8% German Magnum and fine tune my bittering addition to use .42 ounces (or whatever) which would have been tricky on my old analog ounce kitchen scale.
