Someone on the local craigslist is selling 2-row for $38 bucks for a 50lb bag. Is this a good price? I've never bought grain in bulk before.

It's pretty decent, but I'd want to know what malt, how old it is, how it was stored, etc.

I'd say its a good price subject to everything Chriscose has said. If you can, ask to see it first and taste it. If it has been kept in a dry space and is not old, it should be just fine.

pretty muchthough, the add does say Spokane, and he usually advertises NewportI emailed the CL seller

I used to pay $38 a 50#bag, i noticed this past week its up to $45.I have not bought a full bag in a while.I would really be careful buying from someone off CL, unless he ends up being someone they know here.
