Cleaning out the chest freezer, giving it a complete dry out / sanitizing treatment today. I have two spots that have cracked on the bottom from some corny's hitting them too hard. One is about the size of a quarter and looks like in indented peace symbol with three cracks. The other is a single crack about 1.5" long. You can start to see the Styrofoam on the bottom crack .....While the freezer continues to operate fine, I am wondering if I should take this opportunity to patch/fix these. Have any of you had to do this before? If so what did you use for the repair? I am thinking of three possible options:
[*]Seal with epoxy putty[*]Fill with silicone[*]Fill cracks with some type of crazy glue[*]Or any combo of above.[/list]

PC-11 is waterproof and is thick enough that it doesn't sag - once it begins to cure. It cures slow enough to give you plenty of time to "sculpt" it - if required. Visit My WebsitePC-7 is water resistant, cures white, and has the same working properties as PC-11. Visit My WebsiteThen there is JB Weld, my all time favorite! It will need more backing than the first two, to keep it from saggingCan't go wrong with any of these three!! :facepalm:On second thought, if the bottom of the freezer is plastic, (PC-7 & JB) make sure it is dry before applying the epoxy.I'm not sure that there is an epoxy that bonds every type of plastic - try a little and make sure that it bonds.
