Yo...so I was in a brew funk for awhile. I have a 2 year old boy and twin six month old girls at home...that pretty much saps my time for doing anything. I pretty much come home, deal with kids, turn around and its 10 PM already. Weekends are just as bad, every other weekend SWMBO is working, so I have the kids, and when she is home we are doing family stuff. So, no brewing...enough sob story.Last weekend SWMBO was working. I lined up my rents to watch the kids, and had 2 brew buddies from work come over. We cranked out 2 10 gallon batches, one AG batch and one extract batch, each buddy took home 5 gallons and I got 10 gallons...good deal for me. Needless to say, my funk is over and I really want to brew another batch shortly. We did a winter warmer and a dunkelweizen...I'm thinking Belgian blonde or saison next.Fermenting beer smells so awesome.

.......... 2 year old boy and twin six month old girls...........

Glad you got to brew some.We had 3 in 4 years, didn't brew for a long time - 20 years. Then about 4 1/2 years ago Drew pestered me into making another batch (kept most of my brewing stuff all that time). That got me rolling again.....

Welcome back into it. I was in a brewing funk too...I haven't brewed more than once a month at all this year.I'm back in full swing now though with a Belgian Blonde tomorrow and a Dubbel and a Trippel lined up for later this month.I want to get a quad going too, and a Flanders Red. There is never enough time.

Nice welcome back to brewing. Awesome to see how excited you sound and what a great deal you got with your brew buddies. When my two were born 3 yr old twins now I stopped brewing for over a year and a half. Starting in Jan 2008 I got back into it. Cranked out 28 5 gallon brews and this year its been 11 soon to be 12 as well. No stopping now. Nice ideas with the kids helping thats sweet. Hope you ferment them welcome and find plenty more time to brew. I brew in the evenings after the kids are in bed. SWIMBO never says anything about it too. Good Luck and welcome back!!

That's a clean looking keg, all my cornies look like they've been used in a log rolling competition in a shallow lake.
