[Iraq Lobstah]

Last Saturday as the Maltose Falcons Mayfaire Competition Awards Ceremony/ party.... I wasn't going to go, because I had my 6 yo Son that day... However he had a "I wanna be with my Mommy meltdown." Needless to say PARTY ON!!! I went to the festival, there was beer, beer, and more uh beeer........ I took home a 3rd place for my Irish Red Ale. (Not bad for not competing in over 4 years) They had a raffle... Lots of beer schwag... Beer tins, t- shirts, pint glasses, and a custom built brew rig. The tickets were going for 1 for $5, or 5 for $20... I figured its a good cause (the club) so I bought $40 worth......... I did prety welll... 6 out of 10 ticket hit. Which is unheard of considering they must have sold over 300 tickets....... Gave most of what I one back.... Except the Pawel Kwak tin, and...... I'm super stoked right now!!!! My lil guys tantrum got me a new brew rig for $40..... Fletch isn't done with it yet. More diamond plate will finish the bottom rack... Plus adding the pump, the HERMS coil, the propane burners, QD's nd the control system....... Can't wait to get this puppy home and start brewing.....

Any interest in selling some old equipment to lonely soldier?...oh, and hanging onto it for 6 months for said soldier Ok, not really because I am stationed in Ga and you are in Cali. Congrats on some great luck! Maybe your Red gave you the luck of the Irish!

Not too sure, what I will do with old rig yet..... I'm still in shock of the win.... I also need to see how the final product(new brew rig) is set up.... I've been busy with the house, and have had no time for club meting, so I have a 85% picture of the final product is going to be. The Old rig has some history... It belonged to an OG Falcon, who got out of brewing because he's somehow allergic to brewers yeast? I took the old rig, and made it my own.... I've been brewing on it since 2005, and recently I spent $300 in upgrades.... New poly QD's from More Beer, as well a high temp silicon hoses, and I modified the pump, by adding a purge valve for easy start. I did put a switch on the pump too. The water filtation system got an overhaul, and was ounted to the rig as well..... I'm pretty sure, I'm pullng the pump.... It's a nice one, and as far as I know, you can never have too many pumps... The hose too! That crap is costly, and I'm sure I have a use for it..... I'm going to upgrade my wort chiller however... I still have the same counter flow chiller I bought when I got into this mess 10 years ago! "Out with the old, in with the new applies here..... I think a therminator is in order
