I finally put my march 809 pump to use. For vorlauf and transfering the runnings to the kettle, it was great! My question is for those that also use 1 pump. How do you sanitize it for whirlpool chilling and post boil transfers?

I have used 2 methods...First was to pump boiling wort throught the system back into the BK for the last 10 or 15 minutes.Second (which I currently use) is to fill my HLT with Sanitizer and pump it through the entire tubing and pump system and recirculate the sanitzer for 10 to 15 minutes.

That's actually a good question. When you circulate the boiling wort, once it gets going the boil isn't as vigorous. I opted to push sanitizer through to keep a good full rolling boil going. Admittedly, I probably have more dead space in my system than most. But seeing as how you want to whirlpool, I think recirculating during the last part of the boil will get you there. Are you using a bazooka screen to keep hops and break material out of the system?

Currently I boil in a keggle without a spigot. I like to autosiphon after chilling so I get one carboy really clear and one so so. I have a keggle with a weldless fitting so I can build it out any way. What do you recommend?

What method do you use for chilling? Immersion or counterflow? This affects my answer.

What would you use for the pickup in the keggle?

I have a couple of copper 90degree joints that bring half of a bazooka screen down and to the side of my keggle.
