Nice pop of the cork on this one. You would think I would have popped a bottle of bubbly. :frank:Pours nicely, kind of a crazy head on it though. Not sure if that type of head is typical of the style. Nice thick, creamy, dense head. Had to wait a few minutes for it to die down before I could top off my glass. Nice aroma, not too heavy on any particular scent. Smelled nice and balanced.First sip, and wow. This is a big flavored beer. Definitely need to drink it cold and don't let it warm up too much. The flavors get a little over the top as is warms. I can't for the life of me describe the flavor. Definitely has that Belgian taste in a big way, but also the Maltiness is up there too. I think I'm tasting a lot of heavy Crystal malt.I'll give it 4 out of 5 stars for a Belgian Dubbel, but I'm not well experienced in the Belgian's yet. I'm working on it though.

This is crazy talk. One of my top 10 or so favorite beers.Try it again after you've tried some more dubbels. It's an unusual one, but so good.
