I have three to four shoots that are 7ft or higher(top of arbor)on both my plants.I have 3-5 shoots growing out on the bottom again.I clipped them once, now i wonder if i should do it again.Last year i got nothing from the lower shoots.I don't have any current pics of the bottom.Posted Image

If you can, make something that will let the bines grow twice that height.MolBasser

My neighbor has his satelite dish on the other side of my fence and i was afraid it would interfere with it if i grew higher up.I know,i know trying to be neighborly.I am hoping they will grow horizontical some,i already snapped one vine trying to bend/shape it last week.Northern Brewer on the left(3yr old)and Cascade(2yr)on the right.

My cascades are doing fairly well, with 7 out of the 15 reaching the top of my trellis, about 12-15ft high (I need to measure it, and it slopes too). Many of my cascade bines have already been producing cones, and are still producing spurs. My centennials are growing much more slowly, and none of the 9 have reached the top of the trellis. Some are putting out cones and spurs as well, even at the reduced height. All of my hops are 2nd year plants.
