Congrats DBS. I think your blog site looks good. I will have to follow you so I signed up on there for it. Hope you enjoy it, looks like you got a good start going too. Hey Memory Lapse PA? Ken Lenard? I swear those names sound so familiar? Cheers and good luck with the blog!!

Nice little site. You need to get some non-blue-boarders reading it though b/c I'm guessing for a lot of stuff you'll be preaching to the choir with regards to the general population around here. Leave it in your sig and I'll be more likely to occasionally peruse.

Yep, that's the plan...after getting a few more posts in there I will probably go post a link on the facebook homebrewing page...thanks to Ken for letting me use MLPA as my first recipe post.

Nice work. Good way to document your brews, I look forward to reading about how your watermelon wheat comes out. What watermelon extract did you end up using?

I ended up going with the stuff at the homebrew store. The Carlson stuff...I looked online for natural watermelon extracts and couldn't really find anything...it was there at 5 bucks so I just went for it. like i wrote on there, since i bottle, i have never had much luck with using real fruit...this was probably the simplest recipe i ever came up with...2 grains, 1 hop addition, yeast, water, extract at bottling.
